Brian Colepaugh 2019

The death of Brian Bartley Colepaugh of Renous, NB, occurred on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 70. Born in Newcastle, NB, he was the son of the late Daniel and Carmel (Gillis) Colepaugh. Brian was a Teacher who taught English overseas for a number of years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Carmelite Monks and an avid Toronto Maple Leafs Fan.
Brian is survived by: three sisters: Mary Susan Sullivan of Upper Derby, NB; Kathryn Richard of Renous, NB; Patricia Colepaugh of Saint John, NB; two brothers: Danny of Quispamsis, NB; Bernard (Jo Ann) of Renous, NB; 15 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents: Brian is predeceased by: sister: Connie Lawlor; sister in law: Diana Colepaugh; brother in law: Charles Sullivan.
The family will receive visitors at St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 5, 2019 from St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church, Renous, NB at 11 AM with Father Dan Bastarache officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery later in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, in Brian’s memory, donations may be made to the Knights of Columbus. Messages of Condolences can be sent through our website www.bellsmeadows.com

  1. Very sorry to just read about Brian’s passing. I only knew Brian and the other members of his family when I was young and living across the road from them in Renous. Brian was 4 years older than me. He took me and his brother, Bernard, to school on our first day. A one room school house across the river. I remember Brian as being a very kind person. Great family. Rest In Peace Brian.
