Peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at the Grey Bruce Health Services, on Tuesday evening, December 3rd, 2019 after a brief illness. May Yvonne Breadner (nee Russell), of Owen Sound and formerly of Meaford, in her 85th year. Dearly loved wife of the late Douglas Breadner (March 2019) for 65 years. Loving mother of Larry Breadner of Meaford and Mary Jane Hills (Brad) of Chatsworth. Sadly missed by siblings Ivan Russell of Owen Sound, Lois Sewell of Brantford, and Ken Russell (Donna) of Markdale. Sisters-in-law Bernice Logan of Hamilton, Donna Jonsson of Winnipeg, and Nancy Breadner of Rocklyn. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Predeceased by her parents, Fred and Lillian (nee Fisher) and sisters Verna Littlejohns, Jane Johnston and brothers Walter, Don, Elmer, Ernie, Burton and Maurice; and in-laws Mac Breadner and Viola Ormsby. May and Doug owned and managed Breadner Transports Ltd. in Meaford.
The family will receive friends at the Gardiner-Wilson Funeral Home, Meaford on Monday, December 9 from 1:30-4 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 591 St Vincent St, Meaford on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Interment Temple Hill Cemetery.
