Bernard Cape
Bernard passed away on Friday, December 20, 2019 at St. Paul’s Hospital. He was 40 years old.
He is survived by his wife Maricel Rose Cape, daughters Trista and Nina Rose Cape, mother Ninfa Cape, brother Bruce Cape, and best friend Ian Abao. Bernard was predeceased by his father Jose Allan Cape.
Bernard was born on April 8, 1979 in Bacolod City, Philippines. He graduated from the Technological University of the Philippines in Visayas.
He married Rose on December 28, 2002 and then worked as a machinist with Case New Holland Industrial in Saskatoon.
Bernard was a member of Saskatoon New Life Community Fellowship and KIKK Mountaineering INC. He enjoyed mountaineering (while living in the Philippines), fishing with eldest daughter Trista, mountain biking, playing softball & basketball, camping with friends and participating in the Saskatoon dragon boat festivals.
Two public visitation services will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m. on both Sunday, December 22nd and Monday, December 23rd. A Memorial Service for Bernard will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 24th. All services will be held at Saskatoon New Life Community Fellowship Church (3532 Fairlight Drive)
