Baxter’s Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one on Monday, November 25, 2019 in his residence at Newtown, Baxter James Gill age 82 years .
Predeceased by his parents Bertram and Eleanor Gill; infant son Juan Scott; parents-in-law David and Mary Blackmore; brothers William(infant) and Frederick; sister Millicent (Archibald) Blackmore; brothers-in-law Lindburgh White and Allan Norris; sister-in-law Ruby (Cecil) Gosse; niece Suzette Norris and nephew Patrick Blackmore.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Sophie; daughter Roma (Charles) Norris of Templeman; sons Clyde (Patricia) of Ft. Smith, NT., Brent (Gertie) of Newtown, Juan (Jan-Marie) of Brookfield, Craig (Bonnie) of C.B.S and Cory (Catherine) of C.B.S.; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister Sarah White of Newtown; sister-in-law Blanche Norris of Gander; brothers-in-law David (Brenda) Blackmore of Newtown and Pat (Linda) Blackmore of Newtown; several nieces, nephews, and a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will take place at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Newtown on Friday, November 29, 2019 at 11 a.m. Inurnment will follow at The Anglican Cemetery, Newtown.
In keeping with Baxter’s wishes cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Newtown or to The Autism Society, NL.
