Barry Lupton 2019

Lupton, Barry Ralph
December 15, 1958 – December 27, 2019
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of the head of our family, Barry Ralph Lupton, on Friday December 27, 2019. Barry passed peacefully surrounded by family at his home, after enduring a difficult battle to cancer.
Devoted and loving husband to Deborah (Townsend). Loving father to his three sons, his daughter and twelve grandchildren. Terry & Jody (Herlick), with their children Alyssa, Emily, Hailey & Austin; Jamie & Jenna (McCall), with their children Bruce & Brock; Daryl & Leanne (Roth), with their children Layna, Tianna, Selena and Vanna; Jacalyn & Aaron (Mustard) and their children Brooklyn & James.
Greatly missed by his mother Verna (Ball), his three sisters and their partners: Cheryl & Bill Carrothers, Debbie Otto, Lori Lupton & Eddie Mathews. A beloved Brother-in-law to Ross & Margaret Townsend; Jack & Karen Townsend; Lynn Townsend; Dianne & Steve Rounds; and Vicki & Steve Rivers; as well as several Nieces & Nephews.
Predeceased by his father R. Bruce Lupton and his in-laws R. Mac & Marlene Townsend.
Barry grew up on a farm near Maplewood. At a young age, he began helping on his Grandfather, Ralph’s farm. Barry and his wife, Deb went on to farm with his parents Bruce and Verna. They later expanded their farming operation with their children and added BDL Trucking.
Barry became a respected member of his community and would lend a helping hand when needed. Most days you could find him working hard in the family shop. Barry enjoyed to travel with his wife and good friends. In the summer of 2019, Barry was able to bring home his fully restored 1974 Plymouth Cuda, which he longed for since his teenage years. Above all else, Barry was a family man. Happily spending days and nights with his wife by his side, in business and life. Ensuring his children enjoyed life, but also knowing the value of working hard. To see his Grandchildren would put the biggest smile on his face, as they are all his pride and joy. He was the Grandfather that would come to watch swimming, plays, and sporting events. He was often found playing tricks to keep them entertained. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family.
A special Thank you to the Doctors, Nurses and health care staff Barry encountered, for their extraordinary care, support and compassion over the last couple of years.
A private funeral will be held for family. In following with Barry’s wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Tavistock Memorial Hall, 3 Adam Street, Tavistock, Ontario from 2 – 6 p.m.
Memorial donations can be made to Barry’s favourite charity, The Children’s Wish Foundation, or a charity of one’s choice. Donations can be made through the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford, Ontario.
That man is a success – who has lived well, laughed often and loved much; who has gained the respect of intelligent men and the love of children; who has filled his niche and accomplished his task; who leaves the world a better than he found it; who has never lacked appreciate of earth’s beauty or failed to express it; who looked for the best in others and gave the best he had.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Barry Lupton 2019..
