Anna Mae Allison 2019

Anna Mae Allison, wife of the late John Roy Allison passed away at her home on Monday, December 16, 2019 at the age of 86. She was the daughter of the late Percy Guy Smith. Besides her parents and husband, Anna is predeceased by one sister, Joan Steeves.
Anna was a retired nurse. She started her nursing career as a student at the Miramichi Hospital School of Nursing. Upon graduation she became a full time nurse at the Miramichi Hospital. In 1963 her career path changed when she became Director of Nursing. She held this position until her retirement in 1974.
Her evening chats on the phone with her friends meant a great deal to her. She was always interested in her nieces and nephews and the happenings in their lives. For health reasons she was not able to attend church for a number of years, despite this she found great peace and comfort in her faith in the Lord and that someday she would join Johnny in heaven.
Visitation will be held from Bell’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 18th from 2:00 to 4:00 PM only. A funeral service will be held from the Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Darel Tozer officiating. Burial will be in the Wesley United Church Cemetery later in the spring.
