Obituary
Ann Moe “Annie” (nee Pester) of Calgary, Alberta passed away on December 2, 2019 at Dulcina Hospice after a long courageous battle with cancer at the age of 70 years. Many consider her to be the strongest person they’ve known.
Ann was born in Bristol, England to David and Patricia Pester on August 5, 1949. She immigrated to Canada in September of 1966 and settled in Burlington, Ontario. She started her family in 1969 and moved to Calgary in 1976.
She enjoyed movie nights with her girls, endless phone conversations with her friends and family, and travel.
Ann served in several jobs including a working supervisor for a number of years and then as a surgical processor in the processing department before she retired. She was universally liked by all including the RNs in the OR. She started working at Foothills Medical Centre in 1986 and retired in March of 2015.
Ann is survived by her mother Patricia Pester; her children Ronald James Moe, Corinna Lyn Solodky (Sam), and Tammy Marie Bahr (Marc); her grandchildren DJ, Dylan, Kelsey (Ryan), Alicia, Brenden, and Taylor; great grandchild Hazen; her siblings Celia Davis (Len), Norman Pester (Ingrid), Kearen Pfender (Robert), and Richard Pester (Noreen); and several nieces and nephews.
Ann is predeceased by her loving father John David Pester (1977).
In honoring Ann’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.
