Alice’s Obituary
GREENHILL – Alice Jean White, 70, Greenhill, passed away suddenly, Sunday, December 22, 2019 at home, while enjoying a Christmas luncheon with her sisters and friends.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Mary Agnes (Martell) Muir. Alice operated Sid White Automotive Centre, Greenhill alongside her husband, Sid for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who lived each day for her family. Alice enjoyed decorating at Christmas, whether at her own home or at one of her siblings. She was a very organized person, efficiently balancing work and family to perfection. Alice leaves a legacy, rich in love and devotion to family.
Surviving are husband of 52 years, Sid; daughter, Angela (Darren) Gaudet, Greenhill; son, Sid (Shandina) White, Scotsburn; grandchildren, Hailey, Karissa, Sydney and Brayden; sisters, Carol (Randy) Bowden, Edmonton, Alta.; Shirley Muir, Greenhill; Sandra (Danny) Tupper, Anderson’s Mountain; brothers, Hugh (Linda) Muir, Stellarton; Richard (Edith) Muir, Millbrook; Brian (Carol) Muir, Sackville, N.B.; Bruce Muir, Stellarton; Allister (Darlene) Muir, Plymouth; “just like granddaughters”, Danielle and Jordan; many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Gerry and David; sister-in-law, Sharon.
In honour of Alice’s wishes, her family will celebrate her life privately.
