Rezelda Olympe Poirier
1933~2019
Shediac River, NB – Rezelda Olympe Poirier, 86, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, on Tuesday, December 3, 2019.
Born in Grande-Digue, she was the daughter of the late Aurèle and the late Elizabeth Poirier (born Babineau).
Rezelda was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She leaves behind her sister-in-law, Bernice and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Geralda; her brothers, Léo and Ulysse.
In respect to Rezelda’s wishes, there will be no visitation and no funeral service. A graveside service will be held at La Visitation Cemetery in Grande-Digue next summer.
In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the CHU Dumont Foundation (Palliative Care Unit) or to a charity of your choice.
Our aunt Rezelda had a gentle and kind soul. She enjoyed the simple things in life, like her knitting, drawing, coloring books and being with her family. In many ways she was like a big sister to us. She also had a love for animals, especially all her stuffed ones all over her room. She will be missed by all of us who loved her.
