Obituary of Nunzio Lorenzo Varricchio
Passed away peacefully at Georgetown Hospital on Monday December 2, 2019. Beloved husband of Julie Varricchio for 51 years. Proud father of David (Lisa) and Nick (Carla). Loving nonno of Simona, Luca, Fiorella, and Fonzarelli the pet Shih-Poo.
Nunzio endured a 42 year long battle with a variety of different cancers. Through his courageous fight with cancer which began at the age of 31, his love for life, love for his family and his steadfast determination remained strong. His mission in life which was to help make the best possible life for his wife, two boys and three grandchildren. Mission accomplished Nunzio.
Visitation will be held at Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd., Georgetown on Saturday December 7th from 6-8pm and on Sunday December 8th from 7-9pm. Funeral mass will held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 14400 Argyll Rd, Georgetown on Monday December 9th at 10am. Entombment will be held at Glen Oaks Cemetery, 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville at 1pm.
The family extends a special Thank You to Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills which helped provide transportation to and from the hospital for the past 20 years. In lieu of flowers donations to the Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills would be greatly appreciated.
