Memorial Donation
Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Friday, November 29th at the wonderful age of 94, our dear and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Mary Holwell (nee Murphy). Predeceased by her loving husband of 66 years, Alfred; her sisters Kay Puddester (Mark), Bridget Heffernan (Joe); her brothers Andy Murphy (Kay), James Murphy (special sister-in-law, Mary), Peter Murphy (Kay); special niece Barb Dooley; sons-in-law John Phelan and Roger Roy. Leaving to mourn with loving memories her brother Bill Murphy, whom she loved and cherished, brother-in-law Len Holwell (Betty); daughters Jean (John Young), Judy Phelan-Roy (Greg Kennedy), Maureen (Gary Stead), Elaine (Mike Heath); sons Derm (Wendy), Fred (Cathy), Paul (Holly), Glen (Kim). Extended family; Libby Holwell, Ellen Peddle, Barbara Whittle; 13 grandchildren, with special mention to Ryan Holwell, her lifesaver and reason for living these past few years; 11 great-grandchildren; a large circle of nieces and nephews; beloved neighbour Sandra Dawe. Special thanks to her loving caregivers, past and present; Judy Taylor, Kathy Murphy, Lisa Phelan-Roy, Christine Rowe, Christine Savoury. Our heartfelt appreciation and thanks to her family doctor of many years, Dr. Mary Watson, as well as Dr. Roger Butler and Jennifer Williams, LPN with the Dementia Home Care Program for their wonderful care and valued support during the past few months. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Sunday from 5 – 9 pm and Monday from 1 – 9 pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 from St. Teresa’s Church at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Belvedere Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted, or in lieu a donation to The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, St. Teresa’s Parish, or a charity of one’s choice.
