In Loving Memory of
John Stanley Tye
68 years
Monday, December 30th, 2019 at his residence.
Beloved husband of 43 years of Shirley Tye (nee Jokinen). Cherished son of Jack and Ethel Tye both predeceased. Loving brother of Lual Campbell (husband Roy) of Elliot Lake. Dear brother in law of Rauno “Ron” Jokinen (Maja Jokinen) of Val Caron, Erik Jokinen (Tess) of Blind River, Ritva Sanz of Newmarket, and Caroline Jokinen of Sudbury. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, and their families.
John retired from PLC Department, General Motors, in Oshawa after 26 years as a licensed electrician and then worked part-time for the Applied Research Department at Cambrian College for about 9 years.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hannah Lake Bible Center (c/o Canadian-Finnish Evangelization Society Inc) would be appreciated.
Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home
233 Larch Street, Sudbury
(Friends may call 6-8pm Friday January 10th, 2020 and after 10am Saturday January 11th 2020).
Funeral Service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel
Saturday, January 11th, 2020 at 11am.
Interment in the Civic Memorial Cemetery.
