1961-2019
Rosemary Josephine “Rosie” Johnstone – age
58, of Port Williams, formerly of Lakeville, passed away on Sunday,
December 29, 2019 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in
Kentville, she was a daughter of Jean (Johnstone) Bond and step-father
Everett, Lakeville and the late John Johnstone. Rosie enjoyed spending
time with family and friends and especially enjoyed having tea parties
with all her nieces, nephews and grandchildren. She volunteered at the
soup kitchen for 20 years and loved making crafts, playing darts and
cards. She is survived by daughter, Jeannie (John) Rempel, Port
Williams; grandchildren, Chad, Taylor, Jesse, Alexis, Macayla, Dakota,
Breanna, Amber and Bridgette; sisters, Leta (Ronald) Williams,
Centreville; Darlene (John) MacInnis, Grand Pré; Michelle
Adams (Grant), Enfield; brothers, James (Muriel), Waterville; Paul,
Aylesford; David, Kentville, Johnny (Debbie), Waterville; Sam, New
Minas; Daniel (Tanya), Kentville; step-sister, Pearl Cunningham, New
Minas; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her
father, she was also predeceased by nephew, Christopher Williams;
great-niece, Emma Witter; great great-niece, Rain Olsen; good friends,
Reg Henning and Kenny Archer, as well as several aunts and uncles.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m.
until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday,
January 8, 2020 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend
Gary Manthorne officiating. Burial will take place in the Lakeview
Cemetery, Lakeville. The family invites you to wear something red,
Rosemary’s favorite colour, in memory of her. Donations in
memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the
Canadian Liver Foundation. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to
the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
