James “Jim”‘s Obituary
Reynolds, James M. – 86, Springhill. It is with heavy hearts the family of James “Jim” Reynolds announce his passing in Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst, on Tuesday, December 24, 2019. Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late William and Phelina Reynolds. Jim was a long time employee of Knowlton’s Autobody in Springhill until 1975 when he opened his own shop on Claremont where he was owner/operator until retirement. Jim really enjoyed hunting in his younger years and spending time on his property. Jim was a loving husband to the late Marilyn Reynolds (Stiles) for 56 years. He is survived by his children, Alan Reynolds, Edmonton, AB; Marlene (Allan) Smith, Amherst; Tim (Lynn) Reynolds, Summerside, PE; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Leota Cooper, Springhill; Margaret (Bill) Brown, Bedford. He was predeceased by his wife, Marilyn; brothers, Billy, Loyal and Murray. The family would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Robert and Bonnie McNeil for all of their time and effort spent making our father’s last number of years more pleasurable. Arrangements are in the care of MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, Oxford (902-447-2930). Condolences may be made to the family by visiting www.mmcfunerals.com.
