Stoddard, Phillip Nathan “Phil”, 76, passed away on December 24th,2019 at home in Pembroke. Born June 13, 1943 on the Hawk Road in Lower Clark’s Harbour. He was a son to the late Alexander John Mason of Chippawa Harbour, Ontario and the late Ruth (Stoddard) Kenney of Clark’s Harbour. Phil graduated from the Canadian Forces School of Military Engineering (CFSME) in 1972 in Chilliwack, BC and the School of Firefighting in Borden, Ontario. He was a member of the Yarmouth Evangel Assembly Church where he loved to serve his Lord by playing his guitar and singing. He also enjoyed playing and singing in other churches, senior homes and for family and friends. He was a member of the RCAF and army reserves, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Phil was a Stationary Engineer and maintenance man at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital for 23 years and worked at Roseway Hospital for 11 years. In his younger years he worked at a small community store cutting meat and delivering groceries throughout the neighborhood. Phil, no matter where he went always seen someone he would know, he loved to talk with all people about all walks of life and any topic. He was a friend to all who he came in contact with. Phil was a very proud father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia “Pat” (Watkins); daughters, Tammy (Brian Doane), Yarmouth; Gayna , Summerville; Hayley (Brian Jacquard) , Yarmouth; Erinn (Danny White), Sand Beach; Lexie (Brian) Comeau, Saulnierville; Eilys (Coery) Cosman, Alberta; son, Llyam, Alberta; step children, Tracy (Deborah) Hadley, Yarmouth; Tammy (Rod) Bezanson, Chester Basin; James (Tanya) Hadley, Yarmouth;25 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brothers, Clay (Genevieve) Kenney; Charles (Tammy) Kenney; Wade (Anna) Kenney; sisters , Arlene (Norm) Claman, B.C.; Kim (Brian) Mason, Ontario. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his granddaughter Kelsey. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth NS. Visitation will be held, Saturday, December 28,2019 from 7-9 pm from the Sweeny’s Funeral Home chapel. A legion Service to take place at 7 pm. Funeral service will he Sunday, December 29,2019 at 2pm from the Evangel Assembly Church, Yarmouth. Rev Nathan Hill officiating. Burial to follow in the Cheggogin Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Memorial donation may be made to the Tri county VON or the Friends of Gilles Boudreau Cancer Help Fund.
