Peacefully, on Monday, December 23, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Sydney. Loving mother of Leonard Blackman, the late Vickie (the late Sidney Sherman). Cherished Bubby of Avi and Diane Sherman, Stephanie Sherman. Proud great-grandmother of Matthew, Selina; Hope. Predeceased by her eight siblings. Gertie will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, family, friends and all who knew her. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the CLSC Park Extension for their excellent care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Friday, December 27 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Hebrew Protective Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Shiva private.
