Lois Juanita Hewlett passed peacefully away on December 23, 2019 at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Care Center in Grand Falls-Windsor, after a short battle with cancer at the age of 72. Lois is predeceased by her parents Walter and Louise Hewlett, two baby sisters, Sheila Dawn and Alice Ruth and her brother-in-law Wilbert Blake. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories here sister Joan, brothers Kevin and Barry, nephews Shawn and Allan (Samantha), Niece Sheila (Kurt), and special great niece Zoe. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of cousins and friends. Lois was born on September 15, 1947 in South Brook, NL. At a young age she moved to Grand Falls. After finishing high school she went onto a career in nursing until an injury forced her to retire early. She had a love for collecting angel figurines and also enjoyed visits from her family and friends, and of course her devoted cat Liz. Pastor Geoff Slade will conduct the funeral service from the Central Funeral Homes Chapel, in Grand Falls-Windsor on December 28, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. With internment to follow at the Interfaith Cemetery. Pallbearers Shawn Blake, Mike Mackey, Kurt Bingle, Dave Byrne, Darryl Bartlett, Rod Winsor.
The family would like to send special thanks to the staff of 3B CNRHC, Dr. Stephanie Jenkins, and Dr. Sammi for the great care shown to Lois during her time there.
