On Monday, December 23, 2019, in her one-hundred-and-first year. Wife of the late Allan Herscovitch. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Elliott and Chava (Eva), Arthur and Jacque. Loving grandmother of Brendan and Sylvie Newman, Tara Newman and Beth Buttars. Proud great-grandmother of Jessica, and Caroline. Predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Abbey Cohen, Hyman Cohen, Anne and Lou Weber. She will be dearly missed by her nieces and nephews, Daphne, David, Daniel, Ossie, and Rachel, and all who knew and loved her. Special thanks to the staff of 5D at the Donald Berman Maimonides Geriatric Centre for their exceptional care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Thursday, December 26 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at Beth Israel Memorial Gardens Section, Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Duvernay. Shiva at Elliott and Chava’s home, 12761 Clearview St., Pierrefonds, Thursday following burial until 9:00 p.m. Evening service at 7:30 p.m. Contributions in her memory may be made to Donald Berman Maimonides Foundation, (514) 483-2121, ext. 2207.
