Obituary of William Vincent Myatt
Myatt, William Vincent, 83 of Westville formerly of Antigonish passed away December 18, 2019 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow surrounded by his family.
Born in Little Dover, NS he was a son of the late Donald and Evelyn(Bouchie)Myatt.
He was a past resident of Antigonish having moved back to Westville after his wife Genesta passed away. Bill lived a very interesting life and he could paint quite a picture with the stories he could tell. He enjoyed dancing with his dance partner Joanne, who became the best of friends, spending many evenings working on beautiful puzzles, watching movies, dancing or just talking. There was nota job that he didn’t try, everything from woodworking, fishing, upholstering, furnace repair, to working on the ships while sailing on the Great Lakes. He lived life to the fullest, as well as having may laughs along the way.
He is survived by his sons; Clarence, Hopewell; James, Westville; Darren, Stellarton; Donald “Trace”(Melissa), Antigonish; 6 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, brothers; Bernard, Westville; David, Canso; Harvey, Cole Harbour; sisters; Sylvia “Sib”, Mount William; Beatrice, Little Dover; Bernadette, Westville; Vera, Centreville.
He was predeceased by brothers; Burt, Donald, Fred and a sister Gloria.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of William’s Life will be held from 2-4pm Saturday December 21, 2019 at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 28 Stellarton. A service and burial will take place at Little Dover at a later date.
Donations in memory of William may be made to Branch 28 Royal Canadian Legion, Stellarton or to the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Society.
