Patricia Louise Elderkin
January 21, 1934 – December 14, 2019

Patricia Louise Elderkin died peacefully December 14, 2019 at the Starwood Nursing Home after a lengthy battle with dementia. She was on January 21, 1934 in Advocate Harbour, Nova Scotia.
Pat was a devoted mother to her beloved daughters Darlene Dorion-Fripp (Kim) and Shannon Dorion (Robert). She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Dakota and Dana Fripp. Pat was predeceased by loving husband Ronald Hume. She had a long career at the Bank of Montreal. Like any smart woman, she loved chocolates and ice cream. Christmas was her favorite time of year and we hope that all who cared for her take a moment to remember her fondly this holiday season. She loved shopping and finding a good sale was the best. She was always months ahead of gift shopping for every occasion.
Her family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Starwood Nursing Home for their exceptional loving care. To those people that worked so close with her, we love you.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Pat at ‘The Barley Mow’ (1060 Bank Street), Sunday, December 29th from 1:00 p.m. -3:00 p.m.
Donations to the ‘Alzheimer’s Society’ or the ‘Heart and Stroke Foundation’ would be greatly appreciated.
