Nelda Cormier
1935-2019
ALDOUANE, NB – Nelda Cormier 84,
of Aldouane passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris
Hospital, Ste-Anne-de-Kent on Monday, December 16, 2019.
Born in St. Ignace she was the daughter of the late Joseph Vautour and
late Léonie (Gallant) Vautour. The joy of her
life was the love for her three sons, two grandsons and one
granddaughter.
Nelda will be sadly missed by her three sons, Rémi
Cormier (Sandra), Dave Cormier (Lisette), Edmond Cormier (Julie) all
of Aldouane and three grandchildren, Jean-René,
André and Mélanie.
She is also survived by one brother, Tilmon Vautour
(Kathleen) of Oshawa; sister-in-law, Rosa Vautour of St. Louis and
many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Elie
Cormier; five sisters, Marguerite, Lucie, Bernadette, Ernestine, Anna
and five brothers, Eloi, Charlemain, Dolphée, Leonard and
Josephat.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home
in Richibucto on Thursday from 7-9 pm, Friday at 9:00 am until time of
the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday,
December 20, 2019 at 11:00 am at the St. Louis de Gonzague Roman
Catholic Church in Richibucto. Donations in
Nelda’s memory may be made to the lung association or
charity of the donor’s choice and would be appreciated by
the family. The family would like to express their thanks to
Les Residences du Havre and the Stella Maris Hospital nurses, doctors
and staff for their great care.
