Obituary for
Teresa Frances Proude (McCormack)
It is with great sadness that the children of Teresa Frances Proude (nee McCormack) announce the passing of their cherished mother. Although Alzheimer’s forced Teresa into a smaller world, she did not forget her children’s faces. She was predeceased by her husband Carl Everett Proude. Left to mourn in the emptiness of her absence are her 7 children who were the light of Teresa’s life. Mitch (Gail), Cheryl (Tom), Pat (Gary), Mel (Shelley), Carla (Mike), Shane and Heather (Jerry). She will be missed by her 12 grandchildren and their partners as well as her 14 great-grandchildren. Born in PEI, Teresa was the youngest girl and last remaining child in her family of 12 children. She has many nieces and nephews in PEI and the US whom she recalled with great fondness, especially Cathy, Betty and Doug. Teresa was a giving and hard working woman who loved her family well and who was much loved in return. The family is comforted in knowing that Teresa Proude knows who Teresa Proude is once again.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroofe Ave. (at Richmond Road), Ottawa on Sunday, December 8, 2019 from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated in the West Chapel on Monday, December 9, 2019 at 1 p.m. A reception will follow in the Lounge.
As a life-long cat lover, a donation to the Lanark Animal Welfare Society (LAWS) or the Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County would be appreciated.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Teresa Frances
