With saddened hearts our dearest A. Kent Ford of the Belmont Long Term Care Facility, formally of Roslin has passed away on Thursday, December 5th, 2019 at the age of 97 surrounded by loving family and staff. Predeceased by Doris (Willick) his wife of 61 years and siblings Phyllis, Donald and Jean. With the outbreak of World War ll,, Kent was stationed in England where he piloted the Halifax Bombers. Upon his return Kent obtained his degree, graduating from the University of Guelph. After a few years he rejoined the RCAF for an additional 19 years. Kent enjoyed a career at what became Loyalist College where he taught until his retirement. Along with his teaching career, Kent continued to farm in the Roslin area for many years. Loving father of Karon (Ken) Bechervaise of Belleville, Sharon (Bob) Currie of Belleville, Ron (Sarah) Ford of Trenton, and Pam Ford of Longview, Texas. Fondly remembered by 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Friends are invited to the Belleville Funeral Home & Chapel Ltd., 68 N. Front St., Belleville on FRIDAY, December 13th for visitation from 6-9p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on SUNDAY, December 15th at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery, Windsor on MONDAY, December 16th, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. where he will be buried beside his wife.
