1934-2019
Shirley F. Labrecque passed away at Lincourt Manor, St.
Stephen, NB. on Monday, November 18, 2019.
Born in St. Stephen, NB., daughter of the late Hazen and
Jessie Dougherty.
Shirley is survived by nieces and nephews; Maureen Johnson
(Lee) of Waweig, NB., Mary Ellen Fitch (Peter), Susan
Dougherty, Greg McIntee all of St. Stephen, NB., Martin
Middlemiss (Kathan) of Mesa Arizona and Kirk Dougherty (Kim) of
Ottawa, ON., six great-nieces and nephews, three great-great-nieces
and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her
husband, Alfred Labrecque, brother, Douglas Dougherty and
sister-in-law, Betty, two sisters; Lois McIntee, brother-in-law, Baa
and Mary Scribner and brother-in-law, Scrib.
Funeral service will be held at the Kirk McColl United
Church, King St., St. Stephen, NB on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at
3:00 PM with Rev. Brett Anningson and Rev. Peter Fitch
officiating.
Interment in the St. Stephen Rural Cemetery.
For those who wish, remembrances to the Charlotte County
Cancer Society, Kirk McColl United Church or a charity of
one’s choice would be appreciated.

  1. Shirley was a fairly good cribbage player but not as good as her friend of many years, Foddy Peterson😀, as attested to by the championship plaque she presented to him in the summer of 2004. She had a great laugh and will be missed. I know that she will join her sisters, brother, and friend, Theresa Orr Peterson, in heaven . My condolences to all of her family. Foddy Peterson
