Obituary of Sharon Faye Mattinson
Sharon Faye Mattinson age 76, of Lorne Pictou County passed away on Nov. 17, 2019 at home. Born in New Glasgow she was a daughter of the late John and Margaret (Dwyer) Gratto.
Sharon was a resident of Lorne for the past 50 years. She was a member of the Master’s Hand Ministry in New Glasgow. Sharon had been employed at the Valley View Villa for many years from where she retired.
She is survived by children Lorraine (Raymond) Cooley, Teddy (Joyce) Mattinson, Terri (Aaron) Conklin, Shaun (Tracy) Mattinson, foster-son Donald Stewart, 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a sister-in-law Kaye Gratto.
She was predeceased by her husband Teddy “Zig”, son James and foster-son Vincent Bates.
Funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton with Pastor Carolyn Barclay presiding. Family burial will be in the Lorne Cemetery. A reception will follow for family and friends at the Lorne Community Hall. Donations in her memory may be made to the Lorne Community Hall.
