Sharon Lynn MacDonnell February 11th 1940 October 31st 2019

It is with the heaviest of hearts we announce the passing of Sharon MacDonnell (nee Morrison) on October 31, 2019. Sharon was born in 1940 in Gainsborough Saskatchewan. She is survived by her four daughters, Debra (Randy) Selwood, Dianne (Doug) MacDonnell, Donna Tangye and Dana (Robert) Reiter as well her siblings, Devonna Nagy, Marcia Nauss and Ewart Morrison, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Sharon is predeceased by her beloved husband Douglas and her parents Nelda and Oral Morrison.
Sharon grew up in Calgary, Alberta, worked as a hair stylist and later met her husband, Doug. They had her first three daughters there and the fourth in Red Deer Alberta. Sharon raised her family in Penticton and Naramata. Sharon and Doug also lived in Nanaimo BC, where their business, Bayline Realty thrived. Their retirement years eventually took them back to the Okanagan. In Sharon’s last few years, she enjoyed her life amongst many new and dear friends at West Kelowna’s community, Sage Creek.
The love that she extended to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will be dearly missed. She was truly the kindest woman we knew. Rest Peacefully sweet Baba.
A celebration of life is to be held at the home of Dana and Robert Reiter, 1935 Spyglass Way, West Kelowna, BC. Sunday, November 10th at 3:00 PM. A reception is to follow.
