Pamela Marie French
1963-2019
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of
Pamela Marie French, daughter of Diane (Brewer) and the late Charles
T. French, on November 9th , 2019 at the Doctor Everett Chalmers
Hospital.
Born in Fredericton on August 31st , 1963 Pam was a graduate
of Fredericton High School. She went on to study at Dalhousie
University, Concordia University, and McGill University, before
receiving her Social Work Degree from Saint Thomas
University. She was employed by the New Brunswick Department
of Social Development and worked with seniors, a job which she loved,
until the effects of Multiple Sclerosis forced her into
retirement.
She is survived by her mother Diane of Fredericton, her
brothers; Charles (Violet) French of Toronto, and Peter (Leslie Dawn)
French of New Maryland. She is also survived by nephews; Alexander,
Joseph and Thomas of Toronto, and niece, Lily, of New Maryland; two
uncles; Donald French of Saint John, and Roy McDonough of Rothesay;
and her friend and cousin Charlene McDonough, also of Rothesay.
Cousins also include, Joanna Siauw of Halifax, D.J. French of Toronto
and Alison French of Saint John. Pam was predeceased by her
father Charles and her aunt, Ligoura
McDonough.
The family would like to thank those who supported Pam
through her journey, notably long-time friends Cathy Scott and Linda
Copage, as well as the staff at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Hospital,
the Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation, and her many friends and
the professionals at York Care Centre. There will be no formal
visitation. A memorial service will be held at the J.A. McAdams
Memorial Chapel on Friday, November 15th, 2019 at 11am. In lieu of
flowers donations may be made to the MS Society of Canada, the
Fredericton SPCA, or a charity of the donor’s
choice.
