Maureen Frances Gaines 1943 –

Maureen Frances Gaines (nee Lambert)
May 02, 1943 – November 09, 2019
Maureen passed away suddenly on November
09, 2019 after a traumatic fall. Maureen was born on May 02, 1943 in Rossland,
BC.
She is survived by her son Tim from
Edmonton, Alberta; daughter Michelle; brother Pat, and grandchildren Kaylee,
Taryn, Rhys, Liam and Lara. Maureen is predeceased by her Husband of 50 years
Michael Gaines in 2015.
In her prime Maureen was a nurse, a job
which she took seriously and gave her much pleasure and pride. She has experienced
many challenges in her life, the most serious of which was a car accident in 1975.
Her stubborn nature and fierce determination helped her find a way to cope with
her disabilities and find her place again as a young women, wife and mother.
She has always shown incredible organisation skills, a strong will and positive
attitude to help her find a way forward. Maureen had high energy, never resting
for long, and was always quick to find laughter in life’s twists and turns.
In recent months, Maureen found more comfort
and security at the Yellowhead Pioneer Residences where she moved in May 2019. It
is a shame that she could not have had longer to enjoy life there.
There will be a service to remember Maureen
on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the Catholic Church of Saint George in
Barriere, British Columbia. Please see the post office notices for a service
time and more details.
