Obituary of Kenneth Chester Dillman
DILLMAN, Kenneth Chester – age 72, of Carrolls Corner, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of his family on October 31, 2019. Born in Dartmouth, he was a son of Cora (Fraser) and the late Chester Dillman.
Kenny loved his family. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved the outdoors. He was a hard worker. He had a clever, quick wit, and the best laugh. Kenny had a good heart and always thought of others before himself. He enjoyed socializing with friends and listening to country music.
He is survived by his mother, Cora; his children, Tracy (John), Lisa (Russell), Kenneth (Grace); grandchildren, Sarah, Jessica, Katelyn, Ben, Dane, Dimitri, Darius, Xavier; sisters, Minnie, Cora; brother, Darren; Kenneth’s mother, Linda; his companion, Dora; goddaughter, Diane Acker; and a large extended family.
He was predeceased by his father, Chester; siblings, David, Pat, Florence.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie.
A celebration of Kenny’s life will be held 11am Tuesday, November 5, 2019 in St. Paul’s United Church, Antrim, student minister, Calvin Burt officiating. A reception will follow in the church basement.
Family flowers only. Donations in Kenny’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
