Obituary
Joseph (Joe) William Mylrea of Dutton, ON passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on the morning of Friday November 29th 2019 in his 57th year. Joe is survived by his loving wife Donna (Lyons) his children Kyle Mylrea, Kristin and Jordan Lapadat and beloved dog Dalby. Loved son of Wilma Mylrea of Dutton and the late Donald Mylrea. Brother of Donna and Paul McWilliam, Heather and Stuart McCallum, Carol Mylrea and Trevor Larson all of Dutton and Ron and Michele Mylrea of Ottawa.Brother-in law to Susan and Ken Loveland, Bob and Rosemary Leitch of Wallacetown, Bryce and Linda Smith, Luci Lyons and Emiel Langelaan all of Dutton and Elizabeth Wood and Bill Hay of London. Nephew of many Aunts and Uncles. Much loved Uncle and Great Uncle to many, many nieces and nephews.
Joe had an incredible passion for family and took great pride in his role as husband and father. Joe felt blessed for all the time he was able to spend with his loved ones. Joe was an avid sports enthusiast playing, coaching, and in his later years watching, volleyball, baseball, and hockey. Joe was incredibly fond of his work family at Trillium Mutual Insurance, and was always proud and excited to be a member there. Joe was an active member of the community and very much looked forward to all the events surrounding the Wallacetown Agricultural Society. Joe was well known for his love of the outdoor life frequently found hunting, and fishing, or talking about good spots for hunting and fishing. Joe adored spending time with his nieces and nephews, one of his favourite pastimes was telling stories and making them laugh for hours at a time. Joe was able to travel Europe, and North America with his friends and family. However, his memory will be forever found in the lakes and woods of Ontario.
Visitation Sunday, December 1st, 2019 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Arn Funeral Home 193 Shackleton Street, Dutton 519-762-2416. With the Celebration of life Monday, December 2nd at 11:00am at the Dutton Community Centre, 1 Scotland Drive, Dutton Ont. Donations can be made on Joe’s behalf to Wallacetown Agricultural Society or West Elgin Daffodil Auxiliary- Cancer Division would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to the amazing team of Doctors and Nurses at the cancer clinic.
