Gilhula, John Francis Cameron “Cam”
Cam passed away peacefully with his family by his side at home on Monday, November 4, 2019 at the age of 77.
He was born in Chatham, the son of the late Merrill and Margaret (nee Davis) Gilhula.
Beloved husband of Shirley Frances (nee Phillips) Gilhula.
Loving father of Lawrence Cameron (Shelley) Gilhula of Chatham, Terence John (Wendy) Gilhula of Knoxville TN and Gerald Francis (Karen) Gilhula of Toronto.
Grandfather and proud RC Confirmation sponsor of all six grandchildren: J. Connor Gilhula of Cambridge MA, Clare E. Gilhula of Toronto, Evan Ashlyn Gilhula of Portland OR, Daniel F. Gilhula of Toronto, Gabriel D.J. Gilhula of Waterloo and Ethan J.W. Gilhula of Chatham.
Dear brother of Patricia (late Frank) Bossolini of Chatham, David (Barb) Gilhula of Cambridge ON and Marianne (Dan) Lucio of Chatham.
Brother-in-law of the late Evelyn (Stephen) Gillespie of London, Helen (late Joseph) Allegretti of Carson City NV, Florence (Adrian) vandenEnden of Chatham and Richard (Bernardine) Phillips of Tilbury.
Loved and remembered by many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham ON, on Friday, November 8, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers at 7 p.m.
The Funeral Mass to take place at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 5773 Tenth Line, Merlin ON, on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 10 a.m.
Interment will be held at St. Patrick’s Cemetery Merlin ON.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Cam to Outreach For Hunger would be appreciated.
