Obituary
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Jean Paul Girouard which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, November 25th, 2019. Born 1941, in Saint-Antoinne, Quebec, he was the son of the late Armand and Lucille Girouard. Jean Paul worked as a store manager and an english-french translator. He loved to fish and enjoyed cross country skiing, snow shoeing and spending time outdoors.
Jean Paul is survived by his loving and devoted wife Jacqueline (Harris) of 52 years; brother Laurent Girouard of Sacre-Coeur, Quebec; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents, Jean Paul was predeceased by his siblings Gaston, Claire and Adrienne.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Thursday, November 28th from 6 to 8 p.m. A Memorial Service will take place at the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Friday, November 29th at 2 p.m. followed by an interment at Trinity Cemetery in Sus. Donations in memory of Jean Paul may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
