James Jim William McQueen November 7th 2019

December 13, 1949 – November 7, 2019
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jim McQueen. A native son, born and raised in Enderby, B. C., which will now become his final resting place in Cliffside Cemetery.
Jim had years of involvement in B. C. Credit Unions. On an early posting he met his wife Patricia Elizabeth Sims, and they enjoyed 36 years of married life until her passing in 2008. They travelled throughout the world, chalking up a count of at least 40 countries and as a solo traveller he added to the count, enjoying Tanzania immensely.
A generous person, he drove for Cancer patients and Operation Red Nose. He enjoyed time spent with his walking group and was an avid Geocacher as well as attending minor hockey games. He was both an enthusiastic genealogist and an accomplished author, having just published a welcomed book on the McQueen’s from Scotland.
Left to cherish his memory are his two sisters, Grace Almaas, Drain, Oregon and Marjorie Ouimette (Nelson) of Greenwood, B. C. as well as many nieces and nephews and countless McQueen cousins.
He was a true gentleman and will be greatly missed.
He received great care in the Royal Columbian Cardiac department. At Jim’s request no funeral service will be held and in lieu of floral tributes a donation may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of B. C., PO Box 3632, Stn. Ter., Vancouver, B. C., V6B 9Z9.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of James Jim William McQueen November 7th 2019..
