ENNS, Daniel John
November 22, 1954 — November 16, 2019
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Daniel John Enns, in the presence of his Lord on November 16, 2019, in Kelowna, BC, following a brief but intense battle with cancer.
Dan was born on November 22, 1954 and grew up in Abbotsford, BC. In his 64 years, his gentle disposition, good nature, and dedicated work ethic led to many accomplishments, and friendships. His motto “it costs nothing to be humble and kind “gave him an incredible ability to get the most out of any situation. Dan “Mo” worked for BC Hydro/Fortis for 31 years and was revered as an incredible equipment operator with great customer service making working beside him fun and often very memorable. He enjoyed many fun camping and beach adventures with his family, or motorcycle road trips.
He will be forever missed by his loving wife Heidi and daughter Samantha. Dan also leaves behind his parents John and Anne, sister Lois, brothers Michael and Tony, and a large extended family that will treasure their times with him.
We would like thank Dr. Ben Prozeksky, The Hospice House Central Okanagan, Home Care/Palliative Nursing and Kelowna Cancer Clinic staff for their kindness, compassion and dedicated care for Dan.
A celebration of life for colleagues and friends will take place at a later date. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family by scrolling down the page to the area called “Condolences”. Memorial donations to the BC Cancer Agency – Sindi Ahluwalia Hawkins Centre for the Southern Interior are greatly appreciated by the family.
