Obituary of Eleanor Sellsted
It is with great sorrow to announce the sudden passing of Eleanor Sellsted on November 18, 2019 at the age of 81. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband, James “Jim” (2011). She is survived by son, Glen (Della Friesen and her children, Abbey and Mason) and grandsons, Marshal and Riley (David) all of Regina, SK; son, Brad (Wendy Hoar and her children, Kyla (Conrad) and Kaitlyn) all of Regina, SK; daughter, Darcy (Dwayne Frehlick) of Estevan, SK and granddaughters, Jenna of Estevan, SK and Shelby of Saskatoon, SK; brother Adelard “Babe” Brasseur (Camilla) of Estevan, SK; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Eleanor was born in Lampman, SK in 1938 and was raised in Benson, SK where she met Jim. Together, they raised their family in Regina. Eleanor worked at Sask Wheat Pool, followed by SaskPower, until her retirement. Eleanor was remarkable, strong and kind. She will be missed dearly. Funeral mass will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Resurrection Roman Catholic Parish, 3155 Windsor Park Rd., Regina, SK. Family interment will be held at a later date in Benson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Eleanor’s memory may be made to the cause of one’s choice.
