Almost, Cornelia- Passed away at the Caressant Care Nursing Home on Saturday, November 30, 2019 in her 89th year.
Partner of Gerry Norman and wife of the late Clarence Almost (1993).
Cherished mother of David Almost (Sandy Holtby), Sally Bradley (Jack) and Joan Almost. Proud Gramma to Chris Almost (Clare), Nikki McClay (Brandon), Beth Almost, Tyler Bradley (Jessica Baer) and even prouder great-Gramma to Lucas, Chip, Paisley & Marigold. Sister to Casey Muilwyk, the late Hendrika Bethune and the late Ann Muilwyk. Daughter to the late Cornelis & Annijke Muilwyk. Sister-in-law to the late Montie & Betty Almost, late Blanche & Clarence Lilley. She is survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews in Canada and Holland.
Famed for 30+ years at RR#7, Woodstock, 14th Line, Corrie was a proud hard-working farmer’s wife and dedicated mother and in her eyes, there was nothing better than being a grandmother. She enjoyed many hours playing with her grandkids being a soccer player, a book reader, a hockey goalie and overall dedicated Gramma. She was their biggest fan at sporting events and graduation ceremonies. She taught us all the value of hard work and dedication to life and family.
The family will receive family and friends at the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME, 69 Wellington St. North, Woodstock on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 pm. A funeral service will be take place in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday followed by a reception at the funeral home. Interment at Burford Pioneer Cemetery.
