Obituary
James (Jim) Cunningham, age 65, of Nakusp passed away peacefully on November 15, 2019 in Nakusp. He was born on June 6, 1954 to Bernicia and William Cunningham in Barrie, Ontario. Jim worked in construction most of his life but was undoubtedly a jack-of-all trades. He also traveled from the eastern-most coast of Canada to the western-most many times in his life. Jim was known for riding motorcycles, being a dare devil, following his own rules, being endlessly generous and unquestionably smart. Jim is survived by his daughters, Marina and Skye Cunningham; wife Annette Bonertz; brothers Don Cunningham, Brian (Josie) Cunningham, Tom (Deana) Cunningham; sister Pat Fleming; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and beloved family dog, Willa. Jim is preceded in death by his mother Bernicia Cunningham and father William Cunningham, as well as sister Laura Cunningham. Services will be held at a later date. The family would like to express our thanks to the Arrow Lakes Hospital staff and the Kelowna General Hospital staff for their patience, humour and the kind care given to Jim. “Live to Ride, Ride to Live.”
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Cunningham James June 6 1954
