Concetta Ianiro

May 29, 1934 – November 17, 2019
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Concetta on November 17, 2019 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of Alberto. Loving mother of Alma. Cherished daughter of the late Antonina (DiCesare) and Francesco Paolo Sammarone. Predeceased by her siblings Mariano, Maria, Pasquale and Gina. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends in Italy and Canada. A special thank you to Dr. Munro and Dr. Goodwin of the Ottawa Hospital as well as to Dr. McKinnon from the Community Palliative Medicine Associates (CPMA). A special thank you also to all the staff and volunteers at the Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice for their compassion and wonderful care. Family and friends may pay respects at the Pinecrest Visitation Center, 2500 Baseline Rd., Ottawa, on Sunday, November 24, from 5 to 7 p.m., as well on Monday, November 25, from 2 to 4 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to take place at St. Anthony of Padua Church – 427 Booth St, Ottawa on Tuesday, November 26, at 10:00 a.m. Entombment at Pinecrest Cemetery with a reception to follow. Donations in memory of Concetta to Hospice Care Ottawa – Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice would be appreciated. Online donations can be made at www.hospicecareottawa.ca
