DOES, Peter – Peacefully in his 93rd year at VON Sakura House on Tuesday, October 1, 2019. Loyal husband to Mary Does (2008). Loving father of Joanne Does of London, Mary-Lou Robb (Dave) of Bancroft, Margaret Beard (Dave) of Priceville, Brian Does (Denise) of Ingersoll, and the late infant Michael Does (1965). Devoted grandfather of Wes, Alyssa, Michael, Nicole, Charlie, Jackson, Patrick, Connor and Caelan. Great grandfather of Alex and Willow. Dear brother of Anne, Tom, Mary, Alice, Peter, and Margo; and the late Jan, Carl, Cathy, Jim, John, and Gerard. Loving companion to Mary Longtin.
Born in Holland, Peter came to Canada in 1951 where he pursued a career as a farmer and later in real estate. He was a man of strong faith. He will be remembered for his positive, happy attitude; his willingness to help others; his love of gardening and instilling a joy of nature in all of his children. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Special thank you to VON Sakura House, Dr. Vu, Mary Butler and Sharon (St. Elizabeth’s).
Friends and family will be received at the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME, 69 Wellington St. N, Woodstock on Friday, October 4, 2019 from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm. Parish prayers will be said at the funeral home at 5:45pm. A funeral Mass will be held at Holy Trinity Parish, 1420 Devonshire Ave, Woodstock on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at 10 am with Fr. Dariusz Jagodzinski as celebrant. Interment following at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to VON Sakura House. Personal condolences may be sent at www.smithleroy.com
