Obituary of Mary Patricia Hunt
HUNT, MARY PATRICIA – nee Palmer.
On October 17th in her 92nd year, Pat left us gently with music and the love of her family and dear friends.
Born in Burnley UK to the late Mary and James Palmer. Known as “The Doll House Lady”, Pat was creative and talented as a builder, quilter, artist and knitter. Her prodigious sewing and crafts filled many church and Kearney Community Centre sales over many years. She loved music, books, the countryside, crosswords, cards, her home in Kearney, Ontario and most of all her beloved family.
Survived by three sons, James (Betty), Randy (Jace) and David. Predeceased by daughter Julie, husband Owen, brothers Ronald and Alan, and sister Nancy. Cherished by grandchildren Kristina (Jeff Ray), Jamie (Beth), Daisy, Emily, James, Thomas, Katherine, step-grandsons James (Kate) and Jason (Erin) Gregory and P.J. LeConte, and great grandchildren Janna, Abby, Jayme, Lily, Zachary, Alessa, Hanna and Jack. She also had a special place in her heart for sister-in-law Bev Palmer, niece Karen and nephews Alan and Craig.
The Hunt family wishes to thank the caring staff at Streamway Villa for their kindness and care.
Friends will be received at St. John’s Anglican Church, 33 Pine Street North, Port Hope Saturday November 2, 2019 from 10 at until time of Memorial Service at 11:30 am.
In lieu of flowers donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated.
