Obituary of Marie Margaret Mason
Passed away peacefully at Innisfree House, Kitchener, on Sunday, October 27, 2019, age 91.
Dearly loved wife and best friend of the late Edward Mason (2012), their family Joanne (Barry) Stemmler, Andrew (Lisa) Mason, and Christine (Ron) Strome. Special Gramma to Jennifer (Chris) Bruyn, Katie (Mike) Tonin, Natasha (Matt) Doney, Amanda (Mike) Richmond and Kelly Strome. Very special Great Gramma to Carter, Sophia, Lily Tonin and Hudson and Sienna Bruyn, Nehemiah and Evy Weber and Elijah Richmond, Aiden and Kyla Doney, Braiden Cerda-Strome and Stacia Galick. “Favourite” Aunt to Theresa (Glen) Hartley, Larry (Alice), Clare (Mary) and Albert Kienapple, Barry (Barb) and Brian (Kelly) Schott. Also missed by her devoted dog Missy.
Predeceased by her parents Simon (Maggie) Kienapple, brother Earl (Dorothy) Kienapple, sister Beatrice (Howard) Schott, and niece Debra Schott Dawson.
Marie was a lifelong parishioner of St. Agatha RC Church and a member of the CWL. She was also a senior with the Waterloo Knights of Columbus. During her working years, she was an employee of J.M Schneider’s. Marie was also an avid golfer; 1995 was her year for a hole in one at Foxwood Golf Course. She also had a talent with sewing clothes and dresses for her grandchildren and friends. Her quilting brought her joy, especially when her quilt placed first in the International Plowing Match.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Marie with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Sunday, November 3, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers will be held at 2 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Agatha RC Church, 1839 Notre Dame Dr., St. Agatha on Monday, November 4, 2019 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. George Nowak as Celebrant. Interment will immediately follow the mass at St. Agatha RC Cemetery. Reception will be held in the Parish Hall.
