Obituary of Linda Mary Catherine O’Phee
O’PHEE: Linda M.C. (nee Sparks) –
A resident of Chatham, Linda O’Phee passed away suddenly at the London Health Sciences Centre – Victoria Hospital with family at her side on Monday, October 7, 2019 at the age of 60.
Born in Chatham, Linda was the daughter of the late Thomas and Jean (Willder) Sparks and daughter-in-law to Ron and Bev (Attewell) O’Phee.
Beloved wife of Ray O’Phee.
Loving mother of Laura O’Phee-Tellier (Ian Smith), Lindsay O’Phee-Caron (Eric) and James O’Phee (Jodie) all of Chatham.
Proud Grandma to Piper, Zander, Avery, Bently, Gemma, Delyn, Grayson and expected Grandma to Baby Girl Caron.
Dear sister to Clayt Sparks (Patty), Melody Anderson (Tom), April Andolsek (Charlie) and Kevin Sparks (Kara).
Sister-in-law to Pat O’Phee (Rema), Valerie doForno (Ernie) and Linda St. Pierre (Greg).
Also missed by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Linda will be missed by her many close friends and customers at Shopper’s Drug Mart on Queen Street, where she worked for 29 years. Her main priority in her life was her children and grandchildren, who she talked to on a daily basis. She also enjoyed her time spent camping with family at Wildwood. She was a fabulous cook, and especially loved hosting her Wednesday family night dinners. She was selfless, honest, kind (however, forthright) and the foundation of our family. She will be loved and missed by all.
Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm. A Celebration of Linda’s life will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00 am on Friday, October 11, 2019. Interment to follow at McVicar Cemetery.
Donations made in memory of Linda to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
