1933-2019
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth
Winston Antworth on Thursday, October 3rd, 2019 Hotel-Dieu of Saint
Joseph Hospital, Perth-Andover, NB. He is the son of the late Howard
and Joyce (Gee) Antworth. Born in Gregg Settlement on October 28,
1933.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 66 years, Jean, and his son, Todd
(Toby) of Florenceville-Bristol, NB, Grandsons Jonathan, Nicholas
(Natasha), and Great Granddaughter Allyson Antworth, all of
Fredericton, NB. Also siblings Malcolm (Carmen) of Virginia, Harold
Antworth of Woodstock and Elaine Love of Bradford. Also several
nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his son Peter Antworth and Granddaughter Katlynn
Antworth and sisters, Mildred Brown, Anna Sloat, Alberta Dunkman,
Nellie Carmichael, Margaret Longstaff and brothers Earl, Phillip,
Rolston and Gilbert.
Ken can be remembered for his entrepreneurial spirit operating an
apple farm, Florenceville Jewellery and Radio Shack, served on Council
with the Village of Florenceville, and 45 years working at McCain
Foods as a Power Engineer. We acknowledge Ken’s spirit and
devotion, his love of the environment, family, and love of God. God’s
speed to a loving husband, son, uncle, brother, friend, father, and
Grandfather. We love you Ken.
A Celebration of Kenneth’s life will be held at a later date
from L. R. Giberson Funeral Directors. We want to thank the medical
staff at Hotel-Dieu of Saint Joseph who provided Ken with amazing
care, he told the medical staff, and ‘I love my new home.’
