Obituary of Joseph “Joe” Dillon
(Retired – Sandvik Steel, Arnprior)
With great sadness we announce that following a battle with cancer, Joe passed away suddenly at the Ottawa General Hospital while surrounded by his children on Saturday morning, October 12, 2019; Joseph Terrance Dillon of Arnprior was 67. Beloved father of Megan (Dave Rose) of Renfrew; Jessica (Dan Elliott) of Almonte and Josh (Cassy Boulton) of Kingston. Much loved and proud Papa of Jayda and Sammy. Dear brother of Margie Ferguson (Denzil) of Pakenham. Predeceased by his parents: Ted and Alice (nee Taylor) Dillon as well as his brother Alan Clarke and sister, Dorothy Belford (Jim of Trenton). Joe had many passions in his life including muscle cars, drag racing and his beloved Montreal Canadiens. He worked hard and lived hard. Gone far too soon. Joe’s final care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior where visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 16th from 6 to 7:45 p.m. A Twilight Tribute to Joe will follow in the Pilon Family Chapel at 8 o’clock. Private interment St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Renfrew. In memory, please consider a donation to the Arnprior and District Humane Society.
