Johanna (Joan) Neal passed away very peacefully in her 93rd year on
October 18th, 2019 at Caressant Care, St. Thomas, ON. Joan was born on
January 14th ,1927 in Matheson, ON to John and Bridget O’Connor.
She lived most of her life in Cambridge, ON most recently living in
St. Thomas.
Joan will now be rejoining hands with her dear husband of 51 years,
Maclan Neal. She will also be joining brothers Ambrose O’Connor,
Leonard O’Connor, Ken O’Connor, Clifford O’Connor,
Francis O’Connor and sister Aileen Ford.
Joan was beloved mother to Marlene Jones (Robert). Loving Grandmother
to Jennifer Hogan (Ryan), Tara Meloche (Ryan), Nick Pooley (Hilary)
and Elisha Hope (Derek). Proud Great Grandmother to Mackenzie, Connor,
Hayden, Ava, Levi, Jackson and Maclan.
Joan was always known for her vivacious personality, generous nature,
magnificent sense of humour and brilliant baking abilities. She has
always had a wonderful social network of many friends due to her
caring and fun-loving personality. Joan treasured her relationships
with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she was abundantly
adored by them in return.
Please join us in celebrating Joan’s life on Friday, October
25th ,2019. Visitation will be held from 10a.m. to 12p.m. at Corbett
Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St N, Cambridge. Funeral Mass will take place
at 1p.m. at St. Ambrose Church, 210 South Street, Cambridge with a
reception to follow. Interment will take place at New Hope Cemetery,
235 Cooper St., Cambridge at approximately 3:30pm.
