GREGORY GOULDING
(1954-2019)
It’s so saddening to announce the passing of Gregory Curtis Goulding of Lethbridge, Alberta, who, on September 27, 2019, was the victim of a fatal motor vehicle accident. He was 65 years young.
Greg was born on August 20, 1954 in Kamsack, Saskatchewan to William and Margaret Goulding. He was raised with an appreciation for family, community and pride in one’s work. Greg, “Goldie” or “Gregor” to his colleagues, worked for the City of Lethbridge as a heavy equipment operator. He was skilled in his work and earned respect for his work ethic.
Greg was predeceased by the love of his life, Deborah Kostek.
Greg was a former member of the Eagles Club and Miner’s Library. He enjoyed fishing, darts, crib (when he was winning), lawn darts, reading a good book, especially dusters, and singing, albeit a tad off key, with his friends and family. He had a wonderful sense of humour and a knack for making you smile. Greg loved to laugh with his whole heart and body. He found the good all around us because he took the time to look for it. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed.
He is survived by siblings, Ronald (Barb) Goulding of Sherwood Park, Terry (Donna) Goulding of Port Alberni, Linda (Maurice) Jacobsen of Weyburn, and Bryan (Linda Covey) Goulding of Innisfail; his step-daughter, Tanya (Dave) Roth and family; numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and a litany of friends. He was predeceased by parents, William and Margaret Goulding; and siblings, Lawrence, Merle, Audrey, Deb, Joyce, Barbie and Beverly.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, October 11, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Memorial Hall at the Royal Canadian Legion, 324 Mayor Magrath Drive S, Lethbridge, Alberta. Donations in memory of Greg may be directed to S.T.A.R.S. Air Ambulance, 1441 Aviation Park NE (Box 570), Calgary, AB T2E 8M7. Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfuneralchapel.ca.
