Obituary for
Garland Edward “Gar” Burton
It is with broken hearts, yet joyful anticipation, that the family of the late Garland “Gar” Edward Burton announces his passing. Garland slipped into the presence of the Lord from the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook, NL on Monday, October 21st, 2019 at the age of 68 years.
Predeceased by his parents – Randolph “Dolly” & Hazel Burton; sister – Joan Coombs and parents-in-law – Ross & Nina Ryan.
Left to cherish a lifetime of wonderful memories is his wife of 50 years – Janice; children – Cathy Loder (Alvin), Tonya Burton, Linda Burton (Rob) and Ryan Burton (Kristen); grandchildren – Brittany (Rob), Nicholas, Mackenzie, Caleb, Jaxon and Olivia; great-granddaughter – Ashlynn; special nephew – Paul Coombs (Jane); siblings-in-law – Daisy McMurray (Chris) and Marlene Gray (Victor) as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, church family and innumerable friends.
Public Visitation and A Service of Home-Going & Celebration will take place from Bethel Pentecostal Church, La Scie, NL. Additional Funeral Arrangement details will be announced as they become available.
As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted.
