It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Denis in his 77th year. He passed away peacefully at Anson General Hospital with his family by his side. Denis leaves behind his wife, Judy (Peachey) of 53 years, his two loving children, Michelle (Dennis Baschiera) and Steve (Shannon Lyttle), two grandchildren, Lora and Ian, all of Timmins, his brother, Bernard (Beatrice) of St. Eustache, Quebec, his sister-in-laws, Theresa Charbonneau of Ottawa, June Charbonneau of Mississauga and many nieces and nephews. Denis was pre-deceased by his parents, Alexandre and Marie-Rose, siblings -Cecil, Theresa, Lucien, Fidel and Gerard.
Denis was born and raised in Timmins. He worked as a barber for 11 years and then at the Kidd Creek Met Site for 28 years. Denis enjoyed 20 years of retirement at his paradise, Hi-Way Beach.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Norm for his hospital visits with Denis and to the incredible staff of Anson General Hospital for the excellent care and compassion shown to Denis. The family also wishes to express their gratitude to Colin Kennedy at Abitibi Funeral Home for the caring manner in which he assisted the family in making all final arrangements for Denis.
