WARD, DANIEL
With great sadness we announce the passing of Danny Ward, age 57. After a courageous and medically challenging battle with pancreatitis, Danny died surrounded by his family at the Civic Hospital on the morning of October 21st, 2019. Danny spent the last four and a half months fighting for his life in the ICU, as his family awaited a miracle. Danny leaves behind his loving wife of 36 years Sharon (Savoy), his son Eric (Elise), and his adoring grandchildren Jake and Nora. He also leaves behind his sister Kathy (Ron), and his parents Fred and Shirley Ward (formerly of Bathurst, NB). He also leaves behind loving extended family and in laws in NB. He was predeceased by his brother Steven.
Danny just last year retired his title as “Muffler Man”, when he closed Dan’s Muffler and Brake Shop in Metcalfe, ON after 20 years of service. We are left with broken hearts, and wonderful memories. In honour of Danny’s love of eagles, donations can be made to Rideau Valley Wildlife Sanctuary. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Daley Family Funeral Home, 6971 Bank St. (between Scrivens Dr. and Metcalfe Corner) from 6-9 pm Friday October 25. Funeral Saturday in the Chapel at 11 am. In Honor of Danny’s love of eagles, donations to The Rideau Valley Wildlife Sanctuary P.O. Box 266, North Gower, ON K0A 2T0 would be appreciated.
Fly free Danny, until we see you again.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Daniel Ward October 21 2019..
