Cora Gladys Dey (Shelp)
Born April 24, 1932 in Russell, ON. Died October 20, 2019 in Ottawa, ON. Beloved wife of the late Walter John Dey. Sister to Beulah, Margery, Doris, Jimmy, Mervin, Norma, Rosemary, and Iva. Father to Judy (Ross Graham), Susan (Dan Wallace) and Robin. Grandfather to six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Cora was a resident of Elmvale Acres, Ottawa ON for 64 years, with her last 11 years at the Rideau-Perley Veterans Centre. She was a retiree from the Federal Government and a founding member of Emmanuel United Church. Memorial Service will be held at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road (at Aviation Parkway), Ottawa, on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 1:00 pm. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Perley and Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre Foundation (www.perleyrideaufoundation.ca) or the Alzheimer’s Society of Ontario (www.alzheimer.ca/en/ottawa).
